Autoaufzug im Alten Elbtunnel | Car lift in the old Elbe tunnel
Diese Architektur lässt nicht nur die Hamburger Herzen höher schlagen – der Autoaufzug im alten Elbtunnel, der in seiner Einmaligkeit ein echtes Highlight ist. Letztes Jahr im Januar habe ich von dieser imposanten Stahlarchitektur ein Bild im Hochkantformat mit weniger Aufwand in der Nachbearbeitung gepostet. Nun habe ich mir ein querformatiges Bild vorgenommen, dem ich in der Bearbeitung in Photoshop seinen historischen Stahlcharakter deutlicher mitgeben wollte. Dabei habe ich die Strukturen und Kontraste verstärkt und das Bild etwas entsättigt. Da ich damals mit einer weniger guten Linse aus schlechter Position fotografiert habe, habe ich die perspektivischen Verzerrungen und die der Linse korrigiert. Abseits aller Fototechnik: Einen Besuch dort empfehle ich jedem; der Autoaufzug ist sogar zeitweise für den öffentlichen Verkehr geöffnet.

This architecture makes the hearts leap for joy not only for the inhabitants of Hamburg – the car lift in the old Elbe tunnel, that is a true hightlight with its uniqueness. Last january I’ve postest a picture of this steel architecture in a vertical format with less effort in the postproduction. I took now the landscape format and emphasized the historical steel contruction, amplified the structures and contrasts and lowered the saturation to get the special character. As I captured the picture neither with the perfect lense and nor from a perfect point of view I made these corrections in Photoshop. Beside all photo technique: I strongly recommend to visit the old car lift and elbe tunnel, the lift temporarily opens for puplic traffic.
